An estimated 18 million acres of forest are lost each year, according to the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). My creative project will focus on showing awareness on how agriculture is the leading cause of deforestation. To do this, I will explore the technology known as virtual reality to show the viewer a virtual process of this land being destroyed. This visualization will take the form of a 3-dimensional infographic with candle trees showing how our empowerment is misusing our environment.
